CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED TECHNICAL TRAINING
Fortran 90 / High Performance Fortran (HPF) Training Coursee
High Performance Fortran is a new dialect of Fortran designed to be used on a variety of parallel machines. It provides a portable, high-level language for solving problems commonly run on today's high performance architectures and removes the burden of explicit message passing.
CETech offers a five-day graduate-level training course covering the methods and techniques needed to utilize this advanced programming language and take advantage of the power of parallel processing.
Upon completion of this course, participants will recognize and be able to apply the features of Fortran 90 and HPF, understand data distribution as it pertains to HPF, and have a strong foundation enabling them to begin porting and tuning their own specific applications.
The Fortran 90 language is described and differences from FORTRAN 77 are highlighted. HPF is presented with emphasis on managing distributed data. The class format is split into 60% lecture, 40% exercises running in a parallel environment. Assumes FORTRAN 77 familiarity.
