Linux Use for Developers is designed to introduce developers to the Linux environment. Upon completion of the course, students will be comfortable working on a Linux system.

This course will be taught in a classroom using computers installed with a current Linux distribution. The emphasis will be on hands-on programming, with the time divided between lecture and labs.

Students will learn:

• Basic Linux history, concepts, and structure.
• Linux installation and basic system administration.
• Common Linux utiltities.
