About
This Track
The FAST
TRACK is a study intensive course designed to prepare working
professionals experienced with Windows NT 4.0 technologies toward
an Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) 4.0 certification.
This course is 12 or 13 days spread over 3 weeks. The number of
days depends on the electives selected (see table below). Note
that the timeline of this course may be customized to your needs.
The course consists of lecture and demonstration, with few
hands-on lab assignments. While the course is lecture and study
intensive, students will sit at computers to allow for following
instructor demonstrations.
The study materials used in this course are Microsoft Approved
Study Guides.
Taking Exams and Getting
Certified
The MCSE 4.0 Certification requires six (6) exams to be passed.
These exams are administered by Sylvan Prometric and are not
included with the Fast Track course. The six exams are
separated into "Core" exams and "Elective"
exams. The Core exams are required, while there are many Elective
exams. We have chosen the best Elective exams for this track,
though we can customize this course according to your needs.
Because this course is study intensive, and the gray-matter of
our brains only retain so much hurled at it at one time, we
suggest students schedule and take exams following the topic of
study. We hold this course over 3 complete weeks, and suggest 4
weeks when possible, to allow breaks between topics so that
students may take their exams while the topical information is
still fresh in their minds.
The topics in the Fast Track course map directly to the
exams. Click here to see the
actual exam list.
