Linux Device Drivers and Kernel
Course Objective
Linux Device Drivers and Kernel is designed to teach experienced
programmers how to develop device drivers for Linux systems, and give them
a basic understanding and familiarity with the Linux kernel. Upon
completion of the course, students will understand the Linux
architecture, kernel algorithms, hardware and memory management,
and modularization techniques.
This course will be taught in a classroom using computers installed
with a current Linux distribution. The emphasis
will be on hands-on programming, with the time divided between lecture
and labs.
Prerequisites
Students should be proficient in the C programming language and should have successfully completed Axian's Linux Use for Developers and Linux Systems Programming courses, or equivalent.
